The Young Professionals section of PIANC-Netherlands has appointed two new (lady) contact persons :
On 24th May the Dutch Young Professionals were invited for an exceptional visit to the new Vessel Traffic Services Centre at Nijmegen and an information session on the deepening of the river Waal and the project "More space for the rivers." The much appreciated late fall excursion of Young PIANC was focused on a visit of the Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI), which does much more than just the weather forecasts. In particular, the lectures by Kees Dekker and Robert Mureau on the interaction between KNMI and navigation was found to be very interesting.
